Jessica Edge is a contemporary artist based in Bristol, UK and works with moving image and installation.
I am interested in embodiment, this is the notion that the world and the living body are combined and equally engaged.
My current series of video works “There is more to touch than meets the eye”, position ideas relating to ‘touch.’ The perception of touch allows us to physically engage with the world we inhabit.
When I place my right hand on my left hand, I have both the sensation of being touched and the sensation of touching something with the palms of my hands. This is a veritable touching of the touch
